Washington DC- Cherry Blossom Watch 2013 (3)

It is not yet the festival peak, but the cherry blossoms are making progress.  Today more of the white flowering trees and a handful of pink trees had started to open.  With the progression of the trees has followed the progression of festival traffic.  Plan on driving delays and walking a distance when parking.  If possible, taking the metro will be your best bet.  I imagine by this weekend we will see more of the pink trees opening and even more people at the Tidal Basin.
